GVK Hancock Coal [---] - Eco-Friendly Coal

The attached paper (and overview) written by Mr Lindsay Juniper, a well-respected combustion expert, promotes the use of low ash, efficiently burning coal rather than high ash, high moisture coal for a better environmental outcome and a better value proposition. The paper suggests power stations would be better off valuing their coal inputs on the basis of environmental impact and cost of electricity produced rather than price per unit of contained energy. Whilst focussing on China, the outcomes have positive global implications.
