Triton Minerals [ASX: TON] - Triton discovers extensive graphite outcropping

Triton Minerals Limited (ASX: TON) is pleased to advise that as a result of the current exploration program the Company has located a substantial amount of graphitic mineralisation outcropping, with a strike length of approximately 3.75kms located within the Company�s Target 1 area at the Balama North project.

Highlights:

* Positive exploration results from Balama North Project - Mozambique
* Extensive Graphitic outcropping located over a strike length of 3,750m
* Results confirm graphite mineralisation along north-west structure from Syrah Resources� Balama East graphite deposit

The initial mapping program conducted on the key Balama License 5365, located graphite mineralisation in the priority Target 1 Area of Interest ( See Figures 1 & 2 in the linked announcement). This suggests that the graphite mineralisation has developed along the same sub-structure which extends in a north-east direction from the Balama East graphite deposit held by Syrah Resources Ltd (ASX: SYR).

The work completed to date indicates that much of the graphite mineralisation in the AOI is under cover of alluvial soils.

Further work will be required to test the depth of the cover and the Company aims to undertake this work in the next exploration program. In order to establish the extent of this mineralisation zone in the AOI, additional geological transverses completed across the AOI in a north easterly direction, along this corridor, have located extensive graphite outcropping inside the boundary of license application 5966.
