Real Energy [---] - Real Energy plans 5 well shale oil program in the Cooper-Eromanga Basins

Real Energy Corporation Limited has completed planning for a 5 well program to appraise the shale oil potential within the 8 permits in the Cooper-Eromanga Basins in which the company has interests or option to earn an interest.

The private company is a new explorer focused on shale oil and conventional oil projects and has been working-up the previous drilling data throughout the area and mapping the depth, thickness and Total Organic Carbon (TOC) of the Toolebuc shale formation.

To date, as part of this program Real Energy has reviewed the well data of over 120 petroleum wells drilled in the area.

Following this review, the company is now targeting the deeper sections of the Toolebuc that are believed to be mature for oil.

Chief Executive Officer of Real Energy Mr Scott Brown said: �We are excited to be planning this program and drilling wells. We believe there is significant upside in the Toolebuc Shale and as well as our conventional oil targets and we look forward to working on them.�

The Company is well funded with significant investor support base from Asia and North America as well, as within the Australian market where it is based. In 2011, Real Energy completed a fund raising in excess of $7.5M through a private financing round and is planning an IPO for a possible listing on the ASX in during the 1st half of 2013 calendar year.
