TROYMET MOBILIZES DRILL TO THE KEY PROJECT

Thursday, October 04, 2012 Troymet Mobilizes Drill to the Key Project October 4, 2012 - Troymet Exploration Corp.

(TSXV:TYE) ("Troymet" or the "Company") reports that it has contracted Northspan Explorations Ltd.to conduct reverse circulation (RC) drill testing of gold targets on its 100% owned Key gold project in British Columbia.

Drilling is scheduled to start on October 10, 2012.

Troymet plans to drill approximately 1,200 metres to test 12 target areas (see map).

The 8,854 hectare Key project is strategically located immediately adjacent to New Gold Inc.s Blackwater gold deposit where a positive Preliminary Economic Assessment was announced on September 20, 2012.

Mineralized structures (Good News Fault/East Fault) continue from the Key property onto the Blackwater property, the geology is continuous and Troymets exploration has identified high quality targets that may represent Blackwater style precious metals mineralization.

The goal of the drilling is to test if Blackwater style mineralization is present in the target areas. Troymets exploration programs have employed the low cost and proven exploration techniques of soil sampling, prospecting and induced polarization (IP) surveys to identify high quality target areas.

In general, the targets have a thin soil cover, occur in well drained areas and are well suited to drill testing by RC.

As well, active logging in the area has created multiple new access routes to the various target zones, which facilitates easy access for drilling.

This has been a significant exploration and financial benefit for Troymet.

In 2011, Troymet identified a large hydrothermal system with high sulphide content and locally anomalous silver, gold, zinc and copper values at Good News Lake, and along the Good News Lake and East Faults.

This large and deeply rooted plumbing system extends over several kilometres and is intimately associated with the majority of the target areas selected for drill testing.

Its large size together with the large number of associated target areas indicates significant discovery potential in this part of the Key project. Casselman Geological Services Ltd.

is providing technical management of the field program for the Company.
