News Release Wednesday, September 14, 2011 Formation Metals Idaho Cobalt Project Construction Crew Resume Operations To: tsx Vancouver, B.C., September 14, 2011, Formation Metals Inc.

(FCO-TSX) (the "Company") announced today that its 100% owned subsidiary, Formation Capital Corporation, U.S., has been informed by the United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service (the "Forest Service"), that effective 10 P.M., September 13, 2011, the Forest Service has authorized access to the Idaho Cobalt Project (ICP) mine site to resume construction operations subject to certain conditions.

Such conditions include the transportation of ICP personnel to the mine site under a convoy limited to travelling between the morning hours of 6 A.M and 8 A.M.

and evening hours of 5 P.M and 7 P.M.

and limit their speed to 25 mph.

In addition, all heavy equipment transport of supplies that require oversized vehicles will be limited between the hours of 10 P.M.

and 8 A.M.

An evacuation order was previously in effect due to the Salt Fire burning in the Salmon-Challis National Forest as announced in the Companys news release dated September 8, 2011. Formation Metals Inc.
