BLACKHAM RESOURCES LTD: ASX ANNOUNCEMENT 18 September 2009 Blackham commences drilling programme at Scadden Blackham Resources Ltd (Blackham) ("ASX: BLK") yesterday commenced a drilling programme at its 70% owned Scaddan Energy Project near Esperance, Western Australia.

Blackham is evaluating the development of the Scaddan Energy Project into one of Australias premier coal to liquid (CTL) operations, to produce an ultra clean diesel product and other CTL products. The drill programme is aimed at upgrading the resource category of the inferred resource in the centre of the Scaddan West deposit; as well as test for possible resource extensions to the north of the deposit.

The planned programme includes 23 holes for approximately 920 metres. Following the receipt of the coal analysis from the drilling programme the results will be used to update the current resource.

Blackham aims to use the revised resource for further mine design and planning purposes.
