The two-day program provides a fully comprehensive overview of mining investment with a focus on the Asian, African and Latin American markets, while also profiling the latest developments in the global mining industry. The Legends Awards will be presented by Professor Ian Plimer, past recipient of the Award. This year Mr. Ross Fardon, Executive Director of Sigma Resources Limited and Chairman of Cloncurry Metals Limited and Mr.Vince Gauci, Director of Newcrest Mining and Liontown Resources and Chairman of Runge Limited will be presented with the 2009 Resourceful Events Legends Award. Mr. Fardon and Mr. Gauci will be commended for their excellence in the management of Australian mining companies, as well as their contribution to industry and government on an international scale. The conference will close with the National Excellence in Mining Awards Gala Dinner. The Awards will be MCd by Ron Berryman, editor of Resource Stocks, on Tuesday evening at the Ballroom of the Sheraton on the Park Hotel. This annual dinner now in its fourth year is a highlight of the event and a chance for the industry to celebrate the past years achievements.
